I saw a video on YouTube the other day from Buzzfeed and wanted to try my own version of the video. It was a 24 hour challenge eating only TikTok recipes.
I can proudly say I don’t have a TikTok account, but the videos come into my feed on Instagram and Facebook non stop and I was an avid Vine fan back in the day. My boyfriend loves trying these viral cooking videos like Tasty, I have more fears however. I feel like since the videos are so short it leaves out the truth of how long it takes, and how many times it takes to get it right! often the creations are so work intensive and the video they “get it right on the first try” giving us false hope for success. Tasty is my favorite video recipe account and I am biting the bullet and here to prove these videos either delicious and possible, or damn near impossible!
We decided the other day we wanted to try cinnamon roll sin the waffle iron from this Tasty video here https://tasty.co/recipe/cinnamon-roll-waffles and it was a success!
The recipe was super easy, it literally is idiot proof! We took some of the dough rings and cut them in half (like a bagel) because we used a mini waffle iron but it worked great for the full rings and the in half rings! If you want to start off easy, try this one! Now we need to try some more difficult ones! Send me any links to Tasty videos that seem a little too good to be true – I will put them to the test!
